Valeria is a world that has been around for around five thousand years, but it's history is pretty interesting to watch. Civilization has spread off into two different versions, which has led into a civil war on the world. The magic in this world is strangely odd, for the Mages of Crytor use paint brushes that use the 'Paint' magic, while the Necromancers of Valeria use 'Thinner' magic. 'Paint' magic helps bring life to Valeria and puts it into a good shape, while 'Thinner' magic destroys said life and in the process, could turn the world into a wasteland. When on this world, the heroes/villains are forced to use either 'Paint' magic or 'Thinner' magic, what they use will have a first impression from the people.
Backstory: Five thousand years ago, the people of Valeria were developing ways to harness magic in new ways to help the world and it's people. During one of the final meetings, an unknown mage rose up and declared that the way the peple had been doing it was wrong, and that they should follow a newer, more darker way. Unfortunately, said man was banished from the main city of Valeria and sent to the scourges of Valeria. Fortunately for him, he had a group of followers who went along with him across the deadly sea towards the unknown.
Over the course of five thousand years, the people of Valeria turned into the Mages of Crytor, while the banished people turned into the Dark Mages of Valeria. Sometime five hundred years ago, the Dark Mages attacked Crytor with an unknown army of creatures they had found and corrupted into a more dangerous and used them to destroy most of Crytor. This offically made way for the War of the Plagues to come into set, where both sides would unleash wave after wave, each century making it look more grim and lost for one side.
Now, in present times, the Dark Mages of Valeria are now known as the Necromancers of Valeria, while the Mages of Crytor remain standing, but barely. The civil war continues to go on, as the Mages of Crytor are on the defensive, while the Necromancers of Valeria are on the offensive. With the dark creatures they have corrupted into monsters and the dark magic they wield, the Necromancers aim for one final assault against the Mages of Crytor.
Crytor: The continent where most of the world of Valeria centers around. The people here are mainly human looking, but there are several humanoid looking ones as well. While there are various jobs within Crytor, the main guardians are the mages, skilled in various ways of magic and such-wise. The main city of Crytor is where everyone lives, except for those who live in the wild or have been banished.
Necromancers of Valeria: The descendants of the original banished people from Crytor and have lived on a deserted island more towards the right of Crytor. They have the knowledge of the dark arts of Valeria in their blood and also have an army of dark corrupted monsters until their command. While they are weak physically, they are not to be taken lightly in magic fights, the most dangerous being the current leaders.
The Phantom's: The corrupted monsters of the Necromancers that were actually once a peaceful race that lived in the island of Crytor. They were forced into corruption because of the Dark Mages, and have since become monstrous then they once were, to the point they are now considered savages.
The Mages of Crytor are currently deciding whether to try to purify these beings or destroy them from the face of Valeria, although they have found no current ways of purifying these creatures. They mainly have the ability to send out their own liquid on their body to attack their opponents with in various ways. The leader of The Phantom's is the King Phantom, which is forced to reside in a host in order to spawn more of it's own kind, although the host has a chance of dying from this.
